NLC Imo Congratulates, Visits Gov Elect, Ihedioha

His Excellency, the Imo State Governor Elect, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, Thursday, March 14, 2019 received in audience the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), led by Comrade Austin Chilakpu, at his Owerri Civic Center residence.

Comrade Chilakpu speaking on behalf of the group described the victory of the PDP at the just concluded Gubernatorial election as a victory of the masses. He assured that the Organized Labour will partner with the incoming administration to ensure that the state is salvaged from its present situation.

In reaction, His Excellency thanked them for their support during the election and assured them of his determination to run an all inclusive government that will be guided by the rule of law. He promised to work in partnership with the Organized Labour especially in providing immediate solutions to the challenges facing the pensioners and civil servants in the State.

His Excellency received them alongside the Deputy Governor Elect, Engr. Gerald Irona, the State Chairman of the PDP, Chief Barr. Charles Ezekwem, amongst others.
