Imo NUJ Felicitates With Union’s National President, Isiguzo On “MFR” Award

The Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, Imo state Council has sent goodwill messages to the Union’s National President, Comrade Chris Isiguzo congratulating him over the national honour of ‘Member of the Federal Republic’, MFR, recently conferred on him by President Muhammadu Buhari.
According to a release issued and signed by the Chairman of NUJ Imo Council, Chief Chris Akaraonye and Secretary, Juliet Dim; the National Honour is a pure reward for Comrade Isiguzo’s excellence in service, having shown himself approved administratively in piloting the affairs of the union.
“The members of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Imo State Council with pleasure write to convey our warmest congratulations to you, on the conferment of the national honor of Member of the Federal Republic, MFR, to you by the President and Commander -in- Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammudu Buhari on Oct. 11, 2022”
“The award was based on your hard work and the manner in which you have carried the union these years”
The members of the Council while congratulating Chief Isiguzo across boards including the mainstream and new media platforms described the National President as a seasoned media practitioner who has brought his wealth of experience to bare in his administration, noted that the MFR award is meritorious and prayed God for greater heights.
“We strongly believe that those highly commendable attributes and professionalism you have exhibited over the years that made you to qualify for this award propel you for higher achievements”
“We as your colleagues are proud to be associated with you and urge you at this time not to relent in the advancement of journalism profession in the country and beyond”.
