Imo Governor Appoints New Functionaries in his Government
The Governor Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha has approved the appointments of his functionaries barely Three weeks of relieving his cabinet members of their duties.

The release highlights the appointments of Deputy Chief of Staff operations/Chairman bureau for Lands Engr. Kingsley Uju, Deputy Chief of Staff Domestic/Chairman Taskforce on Food Security Mrs. Ogechi Ololo. Deputy Chief of staff Special Duties and inter- Governmental Relations Prof. Edna Matthew –Njoku, Chairman, Board of Internal Revenue Pastor Henrietta Jacobs, Senior Special Assistant on Owerri Mayoral Affairs, Mrs. Ndidi Iheme, Senior Special Assistant on Orlu Mayoral Affairs Emeka Osuoji and Senior Special Assistant on Okigwe Mayoral Affairs Uwakwe Agonsi.
Others are Senior Special Assistant Security (Administration) Barr. Okechukwu Okorocha, Commander-General, Imo Community Watch – Frank Onwumere, Commander-General, Imo Civil Guard Chief Donatus Ejifugha, Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Okigwe Zone- Chief Innocent Okpokoro, Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Orlu Zone – Mr. Chris Ekwueme, Special Assistant to the Governor on security, Owerri zone- Prince Ezewuihe, General Manager, Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) Mr. Jeff. Nwoha., General Manager, Owerri Capital Development Authority (OCDA) Dr. Chika Nnajiofor, Special Assistant Electronic Media – Dr. Ebere Nzewuji and Special Assistant to the Governor on Social Media- Anayochukwu Abasiodu Idiong.
The rest are Special Assistant to the Governor on Studio Prince Odunze, Special Assistant to the Governor on Lagos Liaison office Barr. Steve Asimobi., Special Assistant to the Government on Abuja Liaison Office – Mr. Matthew Obono, Government House Chaplain, Pastor Bumni Babs, Director –General, Igbo Language Development Centre- Rev. Fr. Jerome Okonkwo and Principal Officer on Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Obinna Kenneth Kalu.
A release by the Principal Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Paschal Obi says their appointments are with immediate effect and the list has been forwarded to the Secretary to the Government of Imo State for issuance of Appointment letters.
