Imo ALGON 2022 Set eulogizes Uzodimma on State Address, Signature Projects …Affirms Support ||| NEWS CORNER

The Imo State 2022 Set of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), has eulogized His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, for the awesome, inspiring and spirit filled State of the State Address delivered to Imo People recently at the Hallow Chambers of the Imo State House of Assembly.

The group also appreciated the Governor for initiating and executing Signature Projects such as Roads (flyover and bridges), Hospital, World class IICC Building, including the renovation of the iconic Concorde Hotel and Imo House of Assembly Complex, the overhauling of Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport with the State- of-the-art facilities, making night landing easier at the Airport, among other laudable gainful achievements.

The group stated that these developmental projects are germane and have spurred residents of the state on productivity and resourcefulness and have smoothly and richly reduced crime, violence and insecurity, as social activities, tourism and relaxation are now predominant in the State.

The group made the appraisal through its Public Relations Officer and the former Sole Administrator of Ihitte-Ubima Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Uche Konkwo, in an interview with journalists having arisen from the association’s 3rd bio-monthly meeting, held at Arizona Hotels, Owerri, on Sunday.

Konkwo noted that the Imo 2022 ALGON Set, which is still part of the current government, meets bio-monthly to deliberate on how to contribute more, as well as renders effective assistance to the 3R administration as it succeeds in advancing the state productively, prosperously, socially and peacefully.

“The Imo 2022 ALGON Set has been gathering and discussing how to efficiently, effectively contribute and assist His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma, in his good mission and good work he is doing for Imo people. The quality roads (bridges and flyovers, drainages, culverts) he has been constructing and other Signature Projects, are not only to be enjoyed today, but also for generations to come, are wonderful, beautiful and very developmental. The opposition are silenced and short of words.

“The opposition have no other option to criticize the 3R administration even un-constructively than to support and collaborate with the Governor to move Imo forward. The Governor is doing what Imo people expect, little wonder the opposition are joining the APC”, Konkwo emphasized.

Earlier, the group led by the immediate past State ALGON Chairman and currently the Special Adviser to Governor of Imo State on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Willie T.C Okolieogwo, hailed the resilient spirit of members and remarked that the group is pleased with the democratic governance being enjoyed in Imo State under the watch of His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodimma.

Okolieogwo identified the Governor as a kind, diplomatic, pragmatic, democratic, altruistic and visionary leader, who he stressed has indeed achieved great and good things for the state, hence the improved economy, security and tranquility in the oil and gas rich State.

While assuring the Governor of the continued support of the Imo ALGON 2022 Set, Okolieogwo called on Imo residents to always lend credence to the Shared Prosperity administration, so that peace, security, comfort and prosperity would always be the hallmarks of the Eastern Heartland.
