Imo APC crisis: Cyril Okafor denies alleged acts of insubordination to Rochas, charges Journalists to be factual in reportage

The Commissioner for Tourism, Dr. Cyril Okafor who stated this while reacting to a newspaper publication against him said his loyalty to the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha was not in doubt.

Dr. Okafor said he and Governor Okorocha had known each other long before his appointment as Commissioner, adding that the Governor can count on his loyalty and personality.

The Commissioner described the publication as mischievous and unfounded, saying that such falsehood is emanating from political detractors who are envious of his relationship with the Governor.

The said newspaper publication of Thursday 11, 2018 reported that Dr. Okafor was one of the appointees Governor Okorocha alleged to have sabotaged him during the last APC Ward Congress in the State.

The Commissioner therefore reassured Owelle Okorocha of his loyalty pointing out that he has no reason to work against the Governor whom he said had done well in the State.

Dr. Okafor further reaffirmed that he would queue behind any person presented as the Governor’s successor.
