IGR: Onwumere Issues 7 Days Ultimatum To Private Motor Park Owners In Imo
In a bold and uncompromising stance against financial delinquency, Hon. Pastor Frank Onwumere, the Special Adviser to the Governor of Imo State on Motor Parks Supervision and Illegal Parks, has issued a forceful ultimatum to all private motor park owners.
Effective immediately, Onwumere demands that all outstanding revenues be remitted into the government-approved Treasury Single Account (TSA) within the next seven days.
Hon. Onwumere has condemned the rampant non-compliance
in revenue remittance, declaring that such actions have led to significant financial losses for the state and hampered vital public infrastructure and services.
He unequivocally stated that failure to adhere to this directive will result in the immediate and non-negotiable shutdown of offending private motor parks.
“For too long, numerous motor parks—both private and government-owned—have evaded their financial responsibilities,” Onwumere stated.
“This seven-day ultimatum is the last opportunity for all motor park owners to rectify their non-compliance. Any motor park that fails to meet this deadline will face severe sanctions, including outright closure.”

Onwumere emphasized that this directive is not merely a request but a legal imperative that must be met to ensure financial accountability and promote the state’s development.
Private motor park owners are sternly warned to take immediate and decisive action to settle any overdue payments and ensure future revenues are directed into the Imo State TSA account.
This enforcement action represents the government’s unwavering commitment to financial integrity and the rule of law.
For any questions or assistance regarding the payment process, motor park owners are instructed to contact the relevant government offices without delay.
The Special Adviser’s office is prepared to take rigorous action against any who fail to support Imo’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) efforts.
“Let this serve as a final notice—after the seven days, there will be no room for leniency. We will close down any motor park that continues to undermine our revenue collection efforts,” Onwumere warned.
Motor park owners are urged to act now to avoid severe repercussions.
The Imo State government is resolute in its mission to enforce financial accountability and ensure that every cent owed to the state is collected for the benefit of all residents.
