Imo transport Commissioner assumes office, commends Gov. Uzodimma for finding him worthy
The newly deployed Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Chika Abazu has assumed office, welcomed by the permanent secretary, management and staff of the Ministry, while he commended the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma for finding him worthy to serve in his Administration.
Addressing the Joyful workers, Mr. Abazu eulogized the Governor’s 3 R Mantra of Recovery, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, and emphasized that he would transform the State Ministry of Transport within the shortest possible time in office.
He reiterated that his administration has zero tolerance on absenteeism, nonchalant attitude, loitering, truancy, and urged the staff to redouble their efforts in the discharge of their duties.
Mr. Abazu who was the former Commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Investment, assured the Staff of super working relationship, team work, all inclusive leadership, and harped on synergy to move the Ministry forward.
Meanwhile, earlier in his speech, the permanent secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Bimbola Ogunsonya assured the Commissioner of the staff total loyalty at all times, commitment to duty, pointing out that he has the confidence that the Staff will not disappoint him and assured him of their maximum support to enable him achieve his set goals.
The highlight of the occasion was singing of praises, choruses, overwhelming joy and happiness by the Staff who said they were given brand new Commissioner.
They prayed to God to enable him succeed in his assignment.
