FEDPONEK Rector Dr Igbokwe begins Agenda implementation, visits host community, Assures Healthy Relationship

As part of the measures towards achieving greater things for the institution as encapsulated in her 11-point Agenda of her new administration, the Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Dr (Mrs) Basilia Igbokwe, has begun the journey with a formal visit to the host community of the institution, Nekede Ancient Kingdom, Owerri West LGA.

This is even as the second female Rector of the revered Federal Polytechnic in the State applauded the good people of Nekede community for their support and peaceful relationship with the institution; as she assured them of her willingness to work with all stakeholders of the community for optimal output in the institution.
The formal visit to the host Community according to the Rector, Dr Igbokwe, was aimed at bringing all the Polytechnic communities on one page in order to accelerate her Redemption administration’s initiatives to take the institution to higher heights.
Speaking further, Dr Igbokwe extolled the Transitional Ruler for his dogged personality and commitment to good leadership in the area and between the school and the community.

“As the new Rector, my team and I came to pay official homage to you and seek a better working relationship with the Nekede Ancient Kingdom as critical stakeholders.
“We shall work and have a cordial and peaceful relationship with you.We ask for ideas to help us drive to enviable heights with unity of purpose”, Dr Igbokwe emphasized.
Responding, the Traditional Ruler of Nekede Ancient Kingdom, Eze Dr SK Agumanu (the 4th (Ede 11 of Nekede Ancient Kingdom), expressed gratitude to God Almighty for the crown of Dr Igbokwe as the 9th Substantive Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri as he urged her to keep the good faith.
Eze Agumanu equally lauded Dr Igbokwe for her blueprints and leadership willpower to run an all-inclusive administration, praying God to lead her through her tenure.
“As far as this Rectorship position is concerned, it is only God that gave it to you and Him alone will see you through the office.
“You shall record success throughout your tenure in Jesus’ name, Amen,” Eze Agumanu prayed.

The courtesy call had in attendance the Eze’s cabinet members such as the Chairman Eze in council, High Chief Kennedy Zanders and the President General Hon George Okorocha among others while the leadership team of Federal Polytechnic Nekede accompanied the Rector Dr Igbokwe to the meeting.
