Uzodimma’s Emergence As Chairman Of Progressives Governor’s Forum is a Big Plus – Bishop Okereke
By Eleugu Mgbemgasa…
A Stalwart of APC in Ngor-Okpala and Owerri Zone in extension, Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, says the emergence of Governor Hope Uzodimma as Chairman of Progressives Governors’ Forum (PGF) is going to be a big plus to Imo State and South East in general.
Okereke, an SA on Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Agency (RUWASSA), Imo State, said he hopes that the elevation of the Governor will attract more social and economic developments to Imo State.
Notably, Governor Hope Uzodimma was elected Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum on Wednesday in Abuja, the Seat of Nigeria’s Power, in an election which involved Governors who were elected into office under the platform of APC. The PGF is an organization that constitutes Governors elected under the APC which serves as a platform for collaboration, policy development and sharing of ideas by members.
Okereke observed with gladness that the Governor’s emergence as Chairman of PGF was a clear indication that he has the acumen for quality leadership, his skill and agility to gain support from his fellow Governors showed that he has capacity, harping that as Chairman of PGF Uzodimma would play important part in guiding the forum’s activities, enhancing unity among the Governors, driving the agenda of APC in Imo State.
The ardent apostle of Shared Prosperity administration reflected that the new position will spur the Governor to even contribute more in moderating the programs of APC with a view to shaping the party while promoting good governance, encourage cooperation among states, as well as see to the quick implementation of party policies.
Okereke stressed that “if the Governor can be a member of PGF and attracted three federal roads for the development of Imo State, definitely his emergence as Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum will further sprout up Flyovers in the state to decongest major areas of traffic when reelected in November 2023”.
He therefore commended the Governor on his election as Chairman of Progressives Governors Forum and prayed that God Almighty continues to sustain him as he champions the cause of Imo State.
