My Mandate Is To Salvage Imo State – Senator Anyanwu

The peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate in the forth coming Imo State gubernatorial elections in November 2023 Senator Samuel Anyanwu (Samdaddy) has explained that his objective and determination to salvage Imo State from insecurity, youth unemployment, poor workers welfare and continuous high cost of living propelled him to go into the Governorship race.

The astute politician made this known when he was Fielding questions from newsmen at his country home in Amaimo , Ikeduru local government area of Imo State at the weekend.

According to Senator Anyanwu, the deplorable condition of Imo State presently, especially on insecurity if not immediately abated can lead to the declaration of State of emergency in the State. He maintained that he can not fold his arms and watch the youths of Imo State massacred with reckless abandonment.

The gubernatorial candidate pointed out that one of his first mandates if elected as Imo State Governor is to stop what he described as the senseless killings in the state.

He stated that this will go a long way to restore the confidence of Imo residents on government and governance.

The former Senator for Owerri Senatorial Zone stated that his quest to lead Imo State is not born out of his personal ambition but a “ Divine Mandate ”.

He therefore called on the people of the State to support him by voting massively for PDP in this year’s November 11, elections.

Senator Anyanwu who was a two term House Member for Ikeduru State constituency and a former Chairman of Ikeduru Local Government Area emphasized that his emergence as the governor will usher in a new dawn for Imo State.

The governorship hopeful pointed out that he is a proponent of politics without bitterness and therefore has advised his teeming supporters to eschew any form of violence before, during and after the elections.

He cautioned that violence is an ill wind that does not blow any one good .

Senator Anyanwu appealed to Imo State residents to remain calm and resolute even in the face of any provocation.

“With me as the governor of Imo State and by God’s grace the people of the state will get to the promised Land ” he said.
