Federal Polytechnic Nekede Emerges Tops At The 2023 Technology and Innovation Expo

Pace-setting Federal Polytechnic Nekede has emerged best polytechnic in Nigeria at the recently held technology and innovation Expo held in Abuja.

The institution came first among all Nigerian polytechnics (federal and state) and third among all Nigerian universities and polytechnics.

The annual technology exhibition is a brainchild of the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. The institution reasserted itself as the best polytechnic in Nigeria as it showcased her inventions top of which is her legendary electric car.

The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Adeleke Mamora who was evidently excited at the sight of the electric car entered the vehicle, where he was driven around by Engr. Pius Nwosu, the lead engineer that manufactured the car.

According to the institution’s Director of Research and Innovation for Development, Engr. Dr. Chijioke Chiemela, the Federal Polytechnic Nekede has through the exhibition asserted itself as a leading institution in science and technology in Nigeria.

He expressed gratitude to the Rector whom he extolled and described as “a man who loves science and innovation a lot.”

For Dr. Chiemela, “Since the Rector has been consistent and deliberate in making the polytechnic visible through research and innovation,” praying God to bless him for his noble vision for the polytechnic.
