Discourse: Martins Ejiogu, Playing Active Role Towards Uzodimma’s Election Victory

By Ikenna Orioha…
A distinguished personality, Sir Martins Ejiogu (Ovhendo), is among politicians who have contributed greatly to the political and economic advancement of Imo State, South East and Nigeria.
He is very popular in Imo politics and governance. He is a public figure who is always ideal, practical, accessible and fairly diplomatic.
An intelligent human, Sir Martins Ejiogu, is a good party man, a team player, a charismatic leader who has made great impact towards the growth and sustenance of APC and the Shared Prosperity led administration championed by Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Ejiogu has a positive peculiar style of politicking hence he is in no enmity with anyone neither is he in stiff competition with his contemporaries.
He plays simple politics. He sees politics as a veritable platform or avenue through which value is added to the society in the interest and good of all persons irrespective of age, religion and financial status.
His sterling role in politics has brought him fortunes and of course laurels. Little wonder he was elected as Deputy Chairman of Imo State PDP, a position he handled with assertiveness, alacrity and humility.
He does not do politics of bickering or sentiment. He believes that good conduct and Godliness are far greater than material gains. This is why many people, both old and young, emulate and adopt his political method.
Since his entrance into the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ejiogu has dutifully exemplified himself in several capacities. He adds impetus to the success of the regime, galvanizes and stimulates people to the reelection process of Governor Hope Uzodimma, as well as advocates peace, love, unity and security in the state.
The Isu LGA born politician and technocrat has been actively and cheerfully canvassing for the victory of Governor Hope Uzodimma in the forthcoming guber poll. Because he strongly believes that when Uzodimma is reelected as governor, he would intensify actual democracy and good governance to positively, economically advance the state for the general benefit of citizens and visitors.
Ejiogu has many a time appealed to Imo electorate not to leave any stone unturned from supporting and giving their second mandate to the Governor who he described as a good man with kind heart.
Ejiogu has been effectively using the media outfits and other platforms to x-ray the numerous and laudable achievements of the 3R led government which he added are encouraging productivity, strengthening development, boosting economy and improving conviviality, peace and security in the state.
Interestingly, Sir Martins Ejiogu was the Caretaker Deputy Chairman of PDP and later Chairman of PDP in 2016 and elected Deputy Chairman of the party in August 2016. He was reelected as Deputy Chairman in 2020.
Ejiogu is the Special Adviser on Election Management to Governor Hope Uzodimma. He is a complete gentle man, highly educated, respected. He is from a humble background, an illustrious son of Isu, who has been playing active role in the reelection process of Governor Hope Uzodimma who is very dear to him.
The Special Adviser on Election Management to the Governor reiterated that the sterling performance of the Governor on quality road construction, rehabilitation, youth rejuvenation through skills training, revolution on agriculture/farming, inroads on education and health sectors, regular payment of workers salaries and wages increment, dredging of Oguta/Orashi River to link Atlantic Ocean for enhanced trade and commerce, building of structures such as low cost housing estates, the ongoing IICC building project among plenty other achievements are adding impetus to the social and economic advancement of the state. These feats are good examples of a true democrat, which Uzodimma reflects.
Ejiogu, a technocrat, believes that the Governor will firmly and courageously consolidate these giant achievements when he is elected for the second term in office as governor, hence he called on the people of Imo State to discard every politically incorrect statement or criticism against the Shared Prosperity led government and give Uzodimma their deserved mandate.
