Security Breach: Guard At Naze Turns Thief, Absconds With Employer’s Cash, Valuables …As Police Receive Petition For His Manhunt ||| NEWS CORNER
There was pandemonium at Umuakali elu, Naze Owerri North Local government area, Imo state a few days ago following a display of shocking betrayal by a security guard who was reported to have resorted to stealing from his employer, abandoned his duty post and absconded with cash and valuables.
In the petition of his employer to the police dated 29 of November, 2024, he had demanded the immediate arrest of the guard, one Stanley Chima Ndubuisi whom he said he employed as a guard for over a year and half now.
The petition further read thus. ‘ For the past few months, I observed that, when I called him around 11pm, be hardly answered. I do not know where he has been going. I often paid his salary and gave him money. Just last week, he said he needed money and I sent him some money. He was accused of using a ladder to climb into a compound early last year and I defended him, thinking I had a genuine guard watching over my house. Last year alone, I know how much I have spent to help this young man. Even lending him money to help him bury his late in-law. I have lent him money to pay his daughter’s medical expenses while she was hospitalized. I have bought him a cell phone just as gift after he reported that he broke his phone…’
The petitioner went on narrating that besides the money the guard owes him, he has sent him some money and valuables to keep for him should he visit home and that for the past two weeks he has sent him money to buy two tyres for his car, two trips of sand, 10 bags of cement, a generator and none of which he bought.
“I just realized today (Friday) that the guard cleared my boys’ quarters room and vanished with the generator, cutting all the wire in my gen room”, the petitioner lamented.
The petitioner is demanding the police to recover the stolen items and cash, locating and apprehending the absconded security guard, Stanley who is reported to hail from Nguru Umuowa in Ngor Okpala local government area.
