2022 Emume Mbieri Holds Friday, December 30 …Committee Chairman, Nnadi Unveils Activities For Event

The 2022 Emume Mbieri will begin from Friday 30th December 2022 and end with a Thanksgiving Mass on January 8th 2023.
Briefing newsmen on the forthcoming event, the Chairman, Media, Publicity and Protocol Sub Committee, Amb. Steve Nnadi informed that Mbieri Sub-ethnic Clan in Mbaitoli LGA, Imo State is made up of 19 distinct towns and seven autonomous communities, with more than 100 villages.
Nnadi, who spoke on behalf of the National Executive Council of Mbieri Nwaotuoke Union led by Deacon Chuma Okwodu and Emume Mbieri 2022 Central Planning Committee, said the theme of the 2022 Emume Mbieri is Mezie Mbieri.
Flanked by members of his sub-committee, Nnadi informed that the programme would help to aggregate and pursue the collective interest, welfare and well-being of the people of Mbieri.
He announced that the event will begin with a public lecture on Mbieri history on Friday 30th December, between 10am-12.30pm and on January 1st, 2023, the event will feature Oduezi Mbieri Nwaotuoke, a traditional soiree of Mbieri leaders and elites where ideas are cross fertilized.
“There will be a thanksgiving Mass at St. Peters Anglican Church, Umunjam Mbieri on January 8, 2023 at 9am”, he added.

Nnadi informed that the occasion will be chaired by Chief Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu (Ahaejiagamba Ndigbo) while the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma will be the Special Guest of honour, among other high profile personalities expected at the occasion.
He emphasized that Emume Mbieri will hold as planned and enjoined members of the public to be part of the occasion.
Lending her voice, Secretary 2023 Emume Mbieri and Lecturer at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Dr Mrs Happiness Obioma, said that the bi-annual event is unique because the theme of each year is based on the experiences of that year and added that the essence of Emume Mbieri is to showcase the cultural heritage which Mbieri is richly endowed with.
Other members of the committee present at the parley were, Mr. Eze Uzogbu, Samson Eke, Mrs Rose Osuagwu and Comrade Ozioma Egwim.
