Fake News: NANS President Cautions Mischief Makers in FUTO …Visits Aluta Bishop
By Ikenna Orioha…
The National President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, Comr. Olusola Ladoja, has cautioned those who he said derive joy in mischief, warning them to desist from igniting distraction in Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO.
Ladoja gave the warning when the NANS National leadership visited one of the National respected leaders of the organization, Aluta Bishop Okereke Godson, in his Owerri residence, yesterday.

The NANS National President said FUTO is a prestigious institution which had trained people who are today contributing to the growth of the University and the nation at large.
He explained that as long as FUTO continues to evenly accommodate NANS leaders in sensitive positions of benefit and responsibility, his leadership would not hesitate to take action against detractors of the campus peace with every instrument of power and Aluta forces.
“Those sponsoring fake news against FUTO should desist, as the government and the management will collaborate to fight all forms of criminality within the neighborhood bush paths that lead to the campus until the main entrance of the University is fully completed by the government. This feat will enhance the safe return of students to the campus”.
Ladoja advised students to continue to study hard, behave civilly while staying away from anti-social activities, even as he assured them of guaranteed safety while cautioning them against late movements in lonely paths.
He appreciated the state government for its proactive response to the FUTO road issue, having previously visited the DSS, Imo State Command, promising Aluta Bishop of his continued support, both personally and collectively as an association in all facets of his endeavors as a known leader of the association who has contributed immensely to the sustainability of the struggle.
“We do not take for granted our past leaders who have doggedly served the organization in one way or another, most importantly, those who stood for the ideologies of NANS, and Bishop is one of them”, Ladoja added.
The President was accompanied by some of his Exco Members, NANS Stakeholders’ Chairman, Imo State Axis, and other notable leaders of NANS in the state.
Earlier, Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, NANS Aluta, who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Vice Chancellor of FUTO on Students Union, heartily appreciated the apex leadership of NANS for the visit, saying the visit “was very unusual since NANS President typically lives in Abuja, attending to national activities”.
Okereke appreciated the President for his love for Imo Comrades and NANS Members, urging him to continue in the spirit of struggle to restore NANS to its original owners, thanking him for his intervention on FUTO roads through synergy with the Imo State Government to address the issue urgently.
“However, the current President has changed the narrative and is sustaining the struggle of what we all fought for years ago through his Nationwide campus visit as a means of bringing NANS back to campus and the impact of his legacy will always be remembered in the annals of history.
“The former Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, who happens to be a national leader of the apex leadership of students in Nigeria, alongside his beautiful wife, played host to the NANS Secretariat led by Comr. Olusola Ladoja”, Okereke emphasized.
