Child Abuse: Ambassador Uju Condems Maltreatment of Little Miss Nneji by Guardian, Prays For Justice

A renowned journalist and politician, Hon. Ambassador Chika Uju has condemned the attitude of some parents and guardians who maltreat children without remorse and regard to their fundamental human rights especially those who work as Househelps and Caregivers.

Ambassador Uju in a swift reaction to the ugly trending story of how 8-year old Miss Oluebube Nneji from Akpugo in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State was recently brutalised by her guardians, stressed that “It’s a sad situation” where Children who are gifts from God are being maltreated on daily basis because they share no blood relations with their guardians.

“They need our care whether biological child or not”

She decried the action of the guardians and called for full scale prosecution by the law.

“The man that perpetrated the evil should be brought to book”

“Please, the law enforcement agency should not leave any stone unturned in this case”

Hon. Uju further stressed that parents should strive to take up responsibility for their children no matter the circumstances as they will equally reap it at the end of the day if their children are well taken care of while thanking God for the life and sanity of 8year-old Oluebube Nneji who could have been raped or killed in the process of the brutal treatment melted on her.
