Amadioha commends Egbema indigenes for promoting culture

The Executive Chairman of Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, Hon. Marcel Amadioha, has hailed the indigenes of Egbema for observing and promoting their culture.

Amadioha gave the commendation when he addressed the people of Egbema and other participants during the 2024 New Yam Cultural Festival of Egbema held on Sunday in Owerri.
Expressing delight and satisfaction for participating in the Festival, Amadioha affirmed that the New Yam Cultural Festival signifies peace, unity and progress of Egbema, a land he said is richly blessed by human and material resources.

The Council Chairman stated that the people of Egbema are peaceful, loving and passionately committed to observe, promote and sustain their cultural heritages, hence they equally came down to Owerri, the capital of Imo State, to celebrate the rich culture and show it to the world.
The pragmatic politician and patriotic indigene of Egbema, praised the United Egbema Brothers Association, Owerri Branch, for organizing the New Yam Cultural Festival in Owerri, saying the feat by the group shows that they are progressive minded and patriotic indigenes of Egbema who he added meant well for the area, assuring that he will continue to contribute effectively and meaningfully to the growth and progress of Ohaji/Egbema.
“The New Yam Cultural Festival of Egbema signifies unity, peace and progress of Egbema. Egbema people are indeed committed Imolites for transporting and exporting our culture to Owerri. Truly, Egbema has the highest cultural heritage in Imo State and we are glad to celebrate with our friends of the appetizing cultures of Egbema. I deeply appreciate the United Egbema Brothers Association, Owerri Branch, for organizing and celebrating the New Yam Cultural Festival in Owerri and I will always support the goodness of the area”, Amadioha maintained.
He thanked those who graced the event especially government functionaries, describing the ceremony as worth celebrating and spectacularly inspiring.
