A Peep Into Charles Ahize’s Peace Plan In Orlu (2)
BY: JAMES IGBO…

The peace plan of Labour Party’s Senatorial Candidate for Imo West (Orlu Zone), Charles Ugochukwu Ahize, is profound and exhaustive. We had in the last intervention hinted about this peace agenda. We commended the Senatorial hopeful for being so thoughtful when others are only chasing shadows.
The piece also hailed the Ihioma-Orlu born star for being so down-to-earth to underscore what the people want in a perilous time such as this. Ultimately, the piece declared the tripartite action plan of engagement, engineering and empowerment as most credible and pragmatic.
Observably, Charles Ugochukwu Ahize is a great man of intellect and savvy. He has been in active politics since the second republic but chose to play in the background, choosing instead to campaign against injustice and maladministration.
He did this at the national level with the sole intent of restoring the dignity of the Igbo man in particular. He has also been involved in humanitarian activities due to his staunch belief in humanity.
Today, this national activist and community leader has offered himself to his beloved Imo West to represent them at Red Chambers. He had in the last 35 years been involved in building national bridges. And, obviously, Ahize knows what to do at the Senate with his education and long years of experience in the social and business world.
Charles Ahize has a pragmatic blue print of ideas on how he would make an effective representation for the people of Orlu Zone. He has enunciated pragmatic steps of how to lobby, consult and partner his colleagues to bring the “goods” to Orlu Zone.
Beyond, these auspicious plans, Ahize has an all-inclusive peace plan. He believes in the idea of resolving first things first. Shying away from the crux of matters is not in the DNA of Ahize hence he proposes to frontally prosecute his peace plan for Orlu Zone in order to reposition Orlu for a robust developmental initiatives.
It bears repeating that Charles Ahize’s peace plan is all-encompassing in its tripartite approach of engagement, engineering and empowerment. At the heart of the disquiet engulfing Orlu are the youths. No nation plays with her youths. A place where the youths are not positioned to take over from the aged may have no future. The youths of Orlu Zone therefore cannot be any different. Ahize’s plan resides in constructive engagements with the youths of Orlu. He has initiated a plan where he interfaces with the youths of Imo West from community to community and ward to ward.
The youths undoubtedly need leaders who seize time to interface with them. This is the only way of feeling their pulse. Ahize plans to take advantage of engaging his beloved Imo West youths in purposeful dialogues. In psychoanalytic terms, the subconscious when filled with tension only experiences a release when given the opportunity of expression.
This was the strategy deployed by Sigmund Freud the Swiss physician and theorist who propounded the theory of Psychoanalysis. The process of engagement would yield a positive effect in engineering the youths of Orlu for productivity. The process of engineering the youths would be both psychological, sociological and physical. The end is to re-invent the Orlu youth for greatness and integration in national politics.
The projection of Ahize in this regard is geared towards producing a new set of Orlu youths that would never be tool in hands of crisis mongers and crusaders of angst. Thus, no Orlu youth would see the The tool of empowerment is the icing in the cake of the peace plan. Again, empowerment could be psychic and economic. While the former is knowledge based, the latter is physically appreciated.
The establishment of skill acquisition centres, cottage industries and economic hubs in Imo West are vital steps already on the agenda of Charles Ahize in his empowerment plan of the Orlu youth. Another leg of it is in empowering small and medium enterprises and making them retain steam.
In this light, the Labour Party Senatorial hopeful plans to produce an economically relevant Orlu youth that would build and consolidate economic prosperity in the zone in particular and the country in general.
