YPP Woman Leader, Hon. Uju Celebrates Birthday In Grand Style, Felicitates With Women on August Meeting
By ThankGod Emeh…
The revered women leader of the Young Progressives party (YPP), Imo state Chapter, Hon. Ambassador Chika Uju has sent goodwill messages to women across the country especially Igbo women on the annual ‘August Meeting’ as she celebrates her 57th birthday in colourful settings.
Hon. Uju, who thanked God for His benevolence all these years, promised that she will not fail in appreciating God’s blessings upon her and family members adding that she will as well not relent in discharging her duties to God and humanity.
The Imo YPP steward who doubles as a journalist, human rights activist as well as the President General of Ukwuinyi women in Nnanano Autonomous Community Nkwerre used the occasion to urge women to be home builders by keeping good friends, taking heed of good counsels and being watchful of their actions and inactions in their various families in order to be good ambassadors and to make the world a better place.
“I wish to fecilitate with Imo State women on their 2022 August meeting.
“As the President General of Ukwuinyi women in Nnanano Autonomous Community Nkwerre, I urge my fellow women to use the opportunity to seek the face of the Lord, pray for the peace of their homes and State respectively. We should have it at the back of our mind that we are home builders and should remain so”
Uju stressed that women should always see themselves as integral part of the family where they have a lot of work to do in order to raise Godly children and good ambassadors in society.
“Mothers should monitor their children and know the kind of friends or relationships their children keep”
She added that it is the duty of women to stand in the gap for their husbands and children in prayers, and meaningful engagements of the family while noting that ‘August meeting’ should be a time of meaningful interaction and engagements with members of their families as well as Community leaders to ensure even development across grassroots.
“It is our duty to pray for our husbands children and family at large”
“August as a month of abundance should be used to interact with our love ones. Gifts whatever you can to each other mostly the indigent ones among us”
Ambassador Uju advised that the period of August Meeting be also used to impact the children as well as guide both the Male and Female child the best way to go at all times.
“Imo women should use the opportunity to educate our girl child on how to live a better life mostly when they go to their husbands home”
“The boy child should be mindful of what he takes and know that it’s harmful to his health”
“Mkpuru mmiri or any kind of hard drugs should not be seen around them even among the girls. They should respect and honour their parents as stated in the Bible, live a life of emulation, be a source of joy to their families and society at large”
The State woman leader of Young Progressives party(YPP) and President General Sabbath Day Observers of Nigeria (SADON) Women Section commended Imo women and other women in other States marking the annual August meeting for holding their home intact mostly at this hectic period of Nigeria economy and unemployment that kept our husband and children in agony and prayed God to send destiny helpers to the widows among them while appreciating Imo First Lady, Barrister Chioma Uzodimma for always identifying with the women of the state in their programmes despite her busy schedules.
I also commend Her Excellency Barr(Mrs)Chioma Uzodimma, urging her to help the indigent woman in the 27 LGA of the State out for a lot of them are dying as a result of lack of food, medication and roof to rest on. She should be their voice and form as a destiny helper to them too as she discharge her duty as Nne Imo. She should as well be a mouthpiece to the downtrodden in the State as she prays God to give her the wisdom in piloting the affairs concerning Imo women”
Hon. Uju who is also the President of Umori Eziachi Daughter’s Association in Orlu LGA thanked Imo men for their love upon their wives and children, urging them not to relent.
“Please, keep on accepting your wife in all her shortcomings, see her as a sister or mother always and cuddle with love”
“May God bless and keep you all to reap the fruit of your labours. I encourage every parent to train their girl child for they are also source of blessing”
“I marked my birthday with the less privileged and indigent families while asking God to be with them, send a destiny helper to locate them and bless those who joined me in celebrating God’s love upon me”.
