UNAA Honours Lady Frances Iwuanyanwu With Distinguished Leadership Award
The wife of Engr Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Princess Frances Iwuanyanwu has been honoured with one of the highest awards by the University of Nigeria Alumni Association, Owerri Branch.

Princess Frances Iwuanyanwu was honoured with the DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD at a grand ceremony organised by the Association.


The well attended ceremony by many Professors and dignitaries most of who studied at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka was held at the Oriental Plaza Secretariat, Ugwu Orji Owerri.
In a citation read by Dr Mrs Pat Ekennia, the Association described Lady Frances Iwuanyanwu as a dedicated, devoted,committed intelligent, articulate and caring wife who has been taking good care of her husband and ensuring that Chief Iwuanyanwu their Life Grand Patron is in a healthy and joyful health and environment.

The University Alumni Association thanked her for all she has been doing to ensure that her husband maintained his natural life of philanthropy to society adding many women who find themselves in her situation would have been unhappy with their husbands for doing such.
In his speech, the President of UNAA, Owerri branch, Chief Louis ALOZIE-SAN, commended Lady Frances Iwuanyanwu for her dutifulness adding that by the Award, she is a member of the Association.
Responding, Princess Lady Frances Iwuanyanwu thanked the University of Nigeria Alumni Association for honouring her.

Lady Frances said the Award was beyond her imagination and expectations.
Engr Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu in his speech at the ceremony said the University of Nigeria Nsukka modelled the life of their products to the point that they excel wherever they find themselves.

He urged the younger ones to ensure that they imbibe all they were taught by the University.
Among personalities present were Justice Goddy Anunihu, Professor A U Awuzie former Vice Chancellor Imo State University, Professor Steve Onyeagocha of FUTO, Ben Osuagwu – Special Adviser Media & Publicity to Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,
Professor Tom Oha – SA to Commissioner for Lands, Mazi Okey Njoku-Former president UNAA, Nneoma Eziada Ugochi Ben Osuagwu, immediate past President of UNAA Israel Osigwe and Barr Ngozi Olehi.
Others are the President, Nigeria Institution of Surveyors Surveyor Clement Nwabichie, Ugoeze Chuka Okonkwo, Engr & Mrs Chibuzo Njoku, Barr L C Ugorji – the host.
