President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday, December 19, was greeted by enormous crowd and some lawmakers on his arrival with shouts of “Sai Baba’’ as he appeared before the joint session of the National Assembly to present the 2019 budget.
This is coming at a time when the workers of the National Assembly are on a 4 day warning strike, despite the warning strike,the workers of the National Assembly under the umbrella of parliamentary staff association of Nigeria(Pasan) said that they are not going to stop the president from presenting the budget…
The budget which totals N8.83 trillion is proposed as 2019 budget covers among others statutory and capital expenditures.
The breakdown: Recurrent – N4.04 trillion Debt service – N2.14 trillion Statutory transfer – N492.36 billion Sinking fund – N120 billion Capital expenditure – N2.031 trillion.
