International Women’s Day: NUJ Vice President, Adiuku Congratulates Women

The Vice President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Zone C (South East), Comrade Ezenwa Adiuku, JP, has extended warm goodwill and appreciation to women across the world as the global community marks International Women’s Day.

In a goodwill message on Saturday, Adiuku praised women for their outstanding contributions to families, communities, and society at large, describing them as pillars of strength, sources of inspiration, and champions of progress whose efforts continue to shape a more inclusive and better world.

According to him, the resilience, wisdom, and compassion displayed by women in different spheres of life have remained instrumental in driving positive change and development.

He noted that the annual celebration provides an opportunity to recognize the achievements of women, acknowledge their sacrifices, and renew collective commitment to gender equality.

Adiuku also emphasized the importance of empowering the girl child and creating opportunities that enable women to thrive and take leadership roles in society.

“Today, as the world celebrates International Women’s Day, I extend my warmest goodwill and heartfelt appreciation to all women for their remarkable contributions to our families, communities, and society at large,” he said.

He further expressed gratitude to mothers, daughters, sisters, and women leaders for their courage and dedication to building a brighter future.

Adiuku encouraged women to continue rising, leading, and inspiring others while reaffirming support for initiatives that promote women’s empowerment and equal opportunities.

International Women’s Day is celebrated annually on March 8 to recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world.
