NYCN Charge Imo Youths To Disregard Any Caretaker Committe Inauguration, Arrangement
The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Imo State Chapter has called on youths in the state under the aegis of the association to disregard any Call by the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Dan Ogu to a proposed Inauguration of Caretaker Committee billed for Tuesday, May 17, 2022 to avoid being defrauded at any cost.
The Chairman, NYCN, Imo State Chapter, for the council, Barr. Comr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka, who gave the warning in a public notice shared across the media, emphasized that the leadership of the Imo NYCN is still running as the hence “there is no move by the National Body or State to constitute another body or Caretaker Committee in the state as the current leadership has been working very well for the progress of Imo youths”, noting that the council is not an affair of Imo State Government but an NGO with interests of Imo youths.
Barr. Udoka, added that no Imo youth should attend the meeting as scheduled by the Commissioner as it spells huge risks for the members and the council.
“The National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Imo State Chapter, wishes to inform Imo youths and the public to disentangle themselves from the Press Release issued by one Hon. Dan Chike Ogu, Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, about a purported inauguration of a Caretaker Committee of NYCN billed on Tuesday as such is only made to swindle or defraud uninformed youths”
“The leadership of the council in ably led by Barr. Comr. Ezinwanne Chimuanya Udoka, remains and still running as the Chairman of the council in Imo State”
“Clearly, there is no move or an attempt by the National Body or State to constitute another body or Caretaker Committee in the state as the current leadership has been working very well for the progress of Imo youths”
“The so-called notice signed by Hon Dan Chike Ogu is not of the National Youth Council of Nigeria as the council is not an affair of Imo State Government or of the Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development. It is a Non Governmental Organization empowered to carter for the interests of the entire Imo youths”
“Again, no sane Imo youth should attend the so-called inaugural meeting. Any youth who does so is taking a big risk. Be careful of swindlers”
