Nigeria Diaspora Forum to Invest $1billion dollars in Nigeria, Meets with Minister of Health for collaboration
The leadership of the Nigeria Diaspora Forum, NDF, last weekend arrived Nigeria from the United States of America ( USA) to seek partnership and collaboration with relevant Government Ministries, Departments and Agencies.

In resolve of the Forum to better lives of Nigerians both home and abroad in all spheres of life especially health wise, the Leadership of NDF expressed willingness to invest $1billion dollars into county’s Health, Education, Housing, ICT, Tourism, AI among others with more focus on health sector so as to avail Nigerians with the best practices in medicine and healthcare, noting that health is wealth.

NDF however decried the substandard practices and approaches relating to healthcare in the country, describing them as killers and acts of inhumanity.
This is coming after serial interventions from government and stakeholders in the health sector had proved insufficient, ineffective, abortive and all worth not hence the interest of NDF to get involved to change the ugly narratives though holistic engagements with stakeholders and policy makers in the sector of the economy.
Recently there are ongoing interventions by health experts and policymakers to address the issue of the rising cost of drugs and medical care in Nigeria among other uncalled-for developments.

In the foregoing, the NDF Board Chairman Dr. Joachin Okafor from the USA arrived Nigeria with their foreign partners where they met and discussed with the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Mohammad Pate on possible areas of collaborations to boost the health sector in Nigeria.

The parties at the end of the meeting expressed willingness to work together to put lasting end to identified grey areas in the sector and as well give facelift to health services in the country to global standard.
