By Ikenna Orioha
Youths of Niger Delta Owerri Forum have cautioned the people of Owerri Senatorial Zone not to jeopardize their chances of producing governor of Imo State in 2027 with premature politics and unhealthy propaganda.
The youth warned the people of Owerri Zone to discard the spirit of discord and distrust in order to succeed in their mandate of clinching Douglas House in 2027.
This warning came amidst speculations that the Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, may favor Owerri Zone to Produce His Successor in the 2027 Guber Elections.
The youth who spoke through the President – General of Owerri Zone Youth Niger Delta Forum (OZYNDF), Hon. Okereke Godson Bishop, on Wednesday, in Owerri, stated that if care is not taken, Owerri Zone may be manipulated and taken off balance by political foes of the zone.

“Although, there are a lot of Political Leftists who we know are behind Uzodimma and Owerri Zone, believing that Equality and Justice are the beauties of democratic governance.
“Owerri Zone has been marginalized in Imo State politics. This political segregation of the Zone took toll on the Zone since 1999 and Niger Delta Youths are determined to ensure that the Zone’s collective ambition is realized by 2027”, he reiterated.

Okereke emphasized that Governor Hope Uzodimma is committed to deliver democracy goodies to the people of Imo State, hence any premature political ambition will be counterproductive.

The Shared Prosperity Government will not tolerate any distractions that may frustrate Governor Hope Uzodimma administration which meant well for the people of Imo State.

“The group is advocating for a unified front, believing that the Owerri Zone’s chances of producing the next governor will be strengthened through collective strategy and humility”, warning against unnecessary noise-making, calling for a more focused approach to achieving their gubernatorial goals in 2027 elections.
The Niger Delta Youths have declared that they are battle-ready and will not tolerate any further distractions, stressing the importance of being united and working in glued spirit as they prepare for the 2027 gubernatorial election and achieving victory.
