NAU-America pays SSCE fees for indigent students

Nkwerre Aborigines Union in America (NAU- America) has paid over a total sum of Eight Million Naira (₦8,000,000) for over Hundred (100) indigent students of St. Augustine Grammar School Nkwerre, St. Catherine’s Nkwerre and Nkwerre High School respectively to enable them write the forthcoming Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
Giving the money to the school heads on different occasions, the National President of Nkwerre Aborigines Union America Engr, Nze, Sir Ike Okanu who was accompanied by Patrons- Nze Joe Okwu and Dr. Emeka Chinaka as well as other members of the Union, said the gesture was to assist indigent students write the exams to enable them further their education.
The President further noted that the almsgiving was geared towards encouraging the students to acquire quality education that would help them to shape their future positively, as well as build a healthy, peaceful and wealthy society, saying any society that invests hugely in education of their children will always grow successfully and peacefully.
He urged the students to study hard to enable them pass their exams and as well further their education to any tertiary institution of their choice, while stressing that Nkwerre Aborigines Union America has over the years offered financial assistance and moral advice to students of the schools in Nkwerre, with the intent to encourage their academics.
The President instructed the heads of the schools to use the money for the purpose for which they were given while dutifully discharging their responsibilities in the institutions.
However, the Patron of the Union, Nze Joe Okwu donated Seats to Township school (Okwuamara) Nkwerre to also encourage effective teaching and learning.
The Heads of these benefitting schools; Mrs Egbule Grace of Nkwerre High School (Boysco), Ven. Hyginus Onuoha of St. Augustine Grammar School, Lady Chinyere Okwunma of St. Catherines and Ukpaka Mary C of Township school Okwuamara Nkwerre respectively did not hide their joy as they appreciated the Union for the humanitarian gesture and prayed to God to continue to sustain the Union as it elevates humanity.
Meanwhile, the President of Presidents of Nkwerre Aborigines Development Town Union (NADTU), Sir Austine Iroamachi commended NAU America for their kind gestures towards the indigents. He urge them not to relent while calling for the unity of Nkwerre community for a better and positive growth of the land (Nkwerre).
Speaking further, Sir Iroamachi urged the students to be up and doing by reading effectively as this is the opportunity most of them could not have in their own time.
The Patrons- Nze Joe Okwu and Dr. Emeka Chinaka in their own speeches narrated the unity of NAU America alongside the things they have been doing mostly in education and security for the betterment of their people. They promised to keep the flag flying on behalf of the union.

Those in attendance during the epoch making were Dr. Katchy Ononouju, SA Interparty Affairs, Elder Isaac Ozurumba, Asst.Secretary General NADTU, Nze Eze Nwadike, Mr.Ogidi Obinna, Comrd.Nwadike Maurice, Ihejirika Justin, Uzochukwu Esther U.
Others are Onyechere Munachiso, Edozie Okechukwu K, Mazi Uzoma Vitus, Anahochi Blessing I, Mbagwu Ngozi, Onyechere Bethel U,chief August Osuoha, Ihetu Innocent C, Ukpaka Mary C, Nze Uzoma Nwadike and Umelo Sylvanus, Vice principal St.Catherine Girls Secondary School,G.S.S.and Sir Ejike Mbaraguru NAU-America President California chapter.
