May 27: Amb. Uju Celebrate Children As “Wonderful Gifts From God”, Charge Parents To Monitor Their Movements

In the spirit of the World Children’s Day marked every 27th May, the Woman Leader of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) Imo State Chapter, Ambassador Chika Uju has described children as “wonderful gifts and assets from God” while celebrating the day with her grand children in grand style.

Amb. Uju thanked God for His mercies from conception through child birth and nurture stages of the children and prayed God to guide and guard them as the grow from glory to glory.

She advised the children to always respect their parents, seniors and society at large.

“Let them shun vices that will ridicule their names, parents, families and even the church”

Ambassador Uju equally prayed for parents to raise their children in ways of the Lord so as to be good ambassadors of the family; citing the issue of snake bite initiation that took place in one of the schools at Asaba in Delta State as “very worrisome and should be condemned”

In her words, “Children are precious gift from God and requires positive care or attention”

“Parents should watch their children or wards’ activities, know whom they associate or move with as some teachers are not even trustworthy nowadays. They should be objective in their actions”

“In all, they should fear God and honour Him too”

Similarly, the Woman leader who doubles as a seasoned journalist in Imo state frowned at the maltreatment of a Teenage house-help in a viral video, charging “Women to always endeavor to look after their children even if they are widows”

She noted that the little girl is supposed to be cuddled by her mother or loved ones at this age and not sending her out at such crucial stage of life.

“Let them stop giving out their children as wards to beast out there called women”

“Women out there should stop maltreating children under their care. They should remember and understand that no condition is permanent”

Ambassador Uju however charged Christians to live up to expectations by giving their wards/caregivers equal opportunity as their own children.
