Builds 5, 000-Capacity Cathedral at Umuoecheta, Unveils Plan for Schools, Hospital, Skills Centre
From Uzoma Emmanuel, Owerri
Bishop Dr Vitalis Odumma, a member of the Institute of Christian Theological Fellows, Nigeria and Coordinator of the Institute in London, has hosted the national leadership of the Institute in his Owerri residence.
The President of the Institute, Bishop Uzoma Emmanuel, and the Secretary, Rev Lambert Njoku, were in Owerri on a solidarity and courtesy visit to Bishop Odumma and his family.
Bishop Odumma, who is based in London with his family, is a respected theologian and cleric with deep ministry roots in Imo State.
The visit coincided with a five-day miracle crusade organised by Bishop Odumma and his wife, Rev Mrs Grace Odumma, at Umuoecheta Amiri in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State.
The crusade, which drew over one thousand worshippers daily, was marked by healing, deliverance and restoration, with numerous testimonies recorded.
At the centre of the spiritual gathering is The Lord’s City Adoration Ground International, Umuoecheta Amiri, a gargantuan cathedral built by Bishop Odumma with a seating capacity of five thousand. The edifice is regarded as the first of its kind in Amiri community.
In an interview after the crusade, Bishop Odumma announced that another major programme will hold in December, which is expected to attract worshippers from across Nigeria and the diaspora.
Speaking on the state of the nation, the cleric commended the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma, for his developmental efforts and urged him to sustain policies that promote the welfare and happiness of Imo people.
Bishop Odumma, however, made a passionate appeal to the Governor to remember the people of Umuoecheta Amiri by constructing the road from Okwudor to Umuoecheta leading to Omuma, stressing that the road is vital to the socio-economic development of the area.
On the 2027 general elections, Bishop Odumma said prophetically that the elections will come and go peacefully. He disclosed that he will release detailed prophecies during the December programme, including revelations concerning the next President of Nigeria, adding that several of his previous prophecies have been fulfilled.
He further unveiled plans to transform The Lord’s City Adoration Ground into a holistic community development hub, with proposed projects including schools, a hospital, skills acquisition centre, orphanage homes, markets and other social amenities aimed at improving the quality of life in the area.
Bishop Odumma is widely described by associates as a man of faith and courage whose life and ministry are characterised by miracles and selfless service to God and humanity.
