Delivering his acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Diaspora Committee, Hon. Chibuike O. Amadichi (popularly known as Hon. Divine Chike) who thanked the National officers and party stakeholders for the honour to serve, said the party and the presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi have come to stay having put in place and still putting all formidable structures needed to win the 2023 Presidential election.
“First thing first, let me thank the Almighty God for the gift of Life to be here today, and I want to also thank our workaholic National Chairman; Barr. Julius Abure, for this wonderful opportunity to serve”

Hon. Amadichi stressed that it is laughable for other parties and members to say that Labour Party has no structure going to the polls whereas the party is well grounded across the country even at the grassroots and has thought it wise to integrate Nigerians abroad into the process.
He noted that “2023 General Election is a special electioneering year because it is an election that all Nigerians both home and in Diaspora are fully involved in, to see the birth of a New Nigeria” hence urging Nigerians to vote wisely as “God has positioned Peter Obi and Labour Party to lead the New Nigeria”
“I am delighted to be part of this project for a New Nigeria, today I can make bold to say that, Labour Party is the long-awaited Third force. A few months ago, they said Labour Party had no structure, but today Labour Party is not only building structures nationwide in Nigeria but also advancing its frontiers beyond the shores of Nigeria”
“Today is a remarkable day for me and our great party, and it is a thing of joy to stand here today to be counted and to serve our people in the Diaspora. My special appreciation goes to our Presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi and His running mate Dr. Ahmed Datti, for joining the Labour Party, which has ignited the current political Revolution movement, the momentum is the first of its kind in the history of Nigeria”
The Diaspora Committee Chairman noted that the Committee will work tirelessly to reposition the party and build new partnerships with our people in the Diaspora especially in major countries of the world like the USA, UK, Canada, Germany, and South Africa among others, adding that “Nigerians in the Diaspora are ever willing to identify with Labour Party and also ready to support the Party and its Presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi.
Hon. Amadichi further assured the party and Nigerians of the victory of Mr Peter Obi and Ahmed Datti in the fast-approaching Presidential election and a brand new Nigeria of fulfilling expectations because of their proven integrity and overwhelming believe and support from all well-meaning Nigerians both home and abroad.
“I want to assure Nigerians in Diaspora that come next year 2023, Labour Party will form the new government that will midwife a new Nigeria with a man of proven integrity and competence as the President”
“We want a new Nigeria where every one of us can be proud to call his or her own country, a new Nigeria where everyone can be free and operate without any fear or favour”
“Finally, I want to assure Nigerians in Diaspora that, Labour Party will give equal opportunity to all the Party members home and abroad, what a party member is entitled to here in Nigeria, a party member in Diaspora will also be entitled to the same benefits as we await the birth of a new Nigeria where Nigerians in the Diaspora can gladly come home to invest in, a new Nigeria where Nigerians in Diaspora can cast their votes, a new Nigeria where Nigerians in Diaspora can willingly come back home to serve in Labour Party/Peter Obi led government. On behalf of all the Diaspora Committee members, I want to sincerely thank all of you for coming today.
God bless Nigerians in Diaspora”
