Imo PDP SEC Passes Vote of Confidence In Ugwu-Led SWC, Administration
– SAYS CURRENT SWC HAS SET A MODEL IN INTEGRITY, OPENNESS, ACCOUNTABILITY IN PARTY ADMINISTRATION.

The State Executive Committee (SEC) of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Imo State has passed a Vote of Confidence in the State Working Committee led by Engr. Charles Ugwu.
This is contained in a press release signed by the State Publicity Secretary, Collins Opurozor on September 9, 2022.
According to the release, the SEC of the Party in line with the constitution of the party after deliberating on good developments in Imo PDP in a crucial meeting poured encomiums on Engr. Charles Ugwu and State Working Committee (SWC) for their examplary leadership which has reinvigorated the Party at the grassroots and as well ushered “openness and accountability in management of Party resources”
“In line with the provisions of Section 24, Sub-Section (1), (a) – (x) of the Constitution of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) 2017 as amended, the Imo State Executive Committee (SEC) of the Party held a crucial meeting at the State Secretariat of the Party in Owerri on Tuesday, September 6, 2022”
“The affairs of the Party in the State were extensively discussed. Essentially, the reinvigoration of the Party at the grassroots, successes of the collegiate leadership system and openness and accountability in management of Party resources which the State Working Committee (SWC) led by Engr. Charles Ugwuh has ensured, elicited the delight, applause and commendation of SEC”
The release further states that the State Executive Committee gave the vote of Confidence based on merit and general assessment of the performance of Engr. Ugwu and the State Working Committee.
“Consequent upon the satisfaction of SEC with the stellar performance of the Ugwuh-led SWC, SEC in unanimity passed a vote of absolute confidence in the State Chairman, Engr. Charles Ugwuh and the State Working Committee (SWC)”
Moreso, the SEC encouraged the SWC to keep up their good works, noting that “they are the pleased with the prudence, accountability and integrity with which the Party is run”
“The SEC further enjoined the Ugwuh-led SWC to continue apace with their vision, dedication and resourcefulness in piloting the affairs of the Party and repositioning the Party for resounding victories ahead of the forthcoming elections”
“SEC was also particularly pleased with the prudence, accountability and integrity with which the Party is run, and enthused that the strategy of the SWC which has energized the Party at the grassroots has made the PDP in Imo State the party to beat come 2023”
