Imo 2019: Uche Nwosu Flags-Off Campaign, says he’s out to Work

Owerri, the Imo state capital was on Friday set agog as the governorship candidate of Action Alliance, AA, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu flags off campaign at Dan Anyim Stadium.

The event which was attended by different people from all walks of life starting from the ward, state, and national working committee officials notably had the candidates vying for different political offices on the platform of Action Alliance.

The National Chairman of the party, Barrister Kenneth Udeze while presenting the party’s flag to Ugwumba Uche Nwosu cleared the air as regards who is the authentic flagbearer of the party which has in the past caused disunity in the party.

Barrister Udeze said Uche Nwosu is the right candidate to bring about the desireable governance in the state.

In his words, ” I learnt that there is someone who is parading himself as the governorship candidate of this party but today you have seen the state chairman and myself as the national chairman and what else is remaining?”

Recieving the gubernatorial flag, Mr. Uche Nwosu assured he is out to work for the good people of the state having come from a humble background.

“Today is an opportunity for me to tell my history as many of you know me as Ugwumba Uche Nwosu, Son inlaw to governor Okorocha, former commissioner and Chief of Staff but I am here as your son not as a privilleged child”, Nwosu said

He said ” You all know that I was once in APC but because of the injustice metted on us by the national leader of the All Progressives Congress but I have found favour in Action Alliance and by the grace of God, on the 29th of May, we shall all come back here in praise for my swearing in as the next governor of Imo State”

Nwosu who promised to continue the good legacies of the present administration urged the electorate to examine the blueprints of the numerous candidates vying for governorship in the state.

“Many of you will ask what do you have for us as a young man, what do you have for Imolites and I tell you, my story is a story of grace. What you should ask yourself is what is our track records because it matters in the governorship of Imo state”

“For the records, I was the former commissioner, chief of staff and what you should ask is what I achieved as commissioner for works”, he continued

“I have come as a man who has empowered thousands of youths, women and the aged. I have come to restore and consolidate free education while making our primary and secondary schools an ICT based schools in the state. I will renovate the 27 general hospitals and provide free medical care to children from birth(0-7) to seven years; I have come to work”

The party at the ocassion registered it’s support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s re-election bid promising to secure one million votes for the APC at the polls.
