Imo East: Barr Chyma Anthony Odiuko Assures Of True Democracy Dividends For Owerri People, Condemns Immunity Clause, CBN Currency Policy ||| NEWS CORNER
ThankGod Emeh…
A frontline Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the 2023 Imo East (Owerri) Senatorial election, Barrister Chyma Anthony (Odiuko) KSJI has condemned the existence of Immunity clause in the country’s constitution where elected officers abuse power as well as the peoples mandate and go scotfree.
Barrister Anthony made the condemnation in Owerri on Sunday, February 4, 2023 while interacting with constituents at a town hall meeting organized for All Political candidates in Imo state, which held at Maria Assumpta Cathedral where he assured the people of bridging the unwarranted Communication, Commitment and Developmental gaps between the government and the governed.

The legal gentleman equally condemned the recent Currency/Naira redesign policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN stating that it is a waste of resources that has caused the masses more harm than reasons given for the change.

Odiuko promised to change the ugly narratives of representation of the zone at the Red Chambers, and as well ensure the Senate stands and answers it true name, stressing “that there are job for senators which entails genuine law making and interpretation”
“We cannot have a situation where the President, Vice President, Governor, Deputy Governor will commit an offence and you allow them and wait for eight years before you try them. Here justice delayed is justice denied and with that we are not going to get just in this country”

The APGA Senatorial hopeful for Owerri Zone noted that the problem of the country is a breakdown of law and order which need to be fixed to a lasting conclusion, adding that Owerri Zone needs a new face as well as a new face of Nigeria.

Barrister Chyma Anthony who decried the hardship faced by the masses in accessing healthcare, emphasized the urgent need for a qualitative free health care for all citizens across the country in order to reduce death rates in Nigeria.
Odiuko however assured the people of the zone of committing and getting hundred percent (100%) efforts as well as results to bring the desired democracy dividends in Owerri Senatorial District.
He added that he will enthrone good governance in the zone and urged the people not to relent in their search for good leadership or wait too long to make the best choice of a senator for Owerri zone.

“I have been moving around the nine local governments of Owerri zone and have seen their problems… the people of Obiezena from Owerri North have complained of their lands being taken by Anambra Imo River Basin Development Authority. They are not getting employment from the people, not even contracts hence I have taken that up”
“I have also gone to Owerri West Local government area housing the Federal institutions in Imo state such as Federal University of Technology Owerri, FUTO; and Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, FEDPONEK where hosting communities have complained of their lands being grabbed by these institutions and I have also written about it because these are some of the things I will stop when I assume office”

“I have been to Obohia Ahiazu Mbaise and I have seen what erosion have done to the people and have taken that up too”
“I have also been to my Local government, Ikeduru where there is an abandoned RAMP project now housing dangerous animals and have taken that up too”
