Imo 2019 Guber: Why We Root For Okey Ezeh – Imo Transparency Watch
By Michael Nzeadi, Abuja

Imo people have been urged to shun voluminous politicians with unrealistic promises and to support a visionary and competent technocrat who will bring the state back to the path of progress.
The National President of the Imo Transparency Watch, Chief Mark Alagboso made this call in Abuja while briefing newsmen after a meeting of the group on Sunday.
He maintained that,”The pervasive bad governance in the state has been tolerated for too long,” adding that everyone must get involved in supporting a tried and tested expert in financial engineering and astute management of men and materials so as to close the chapter of agony in Imo forever.
The cerebral legal luminary said the Imo Transparency Watch which he leads has arrived at the choice of the SDP governorship candidate, Sir Okey Ezeh, as the most suitable to govern Imo in order to meet the demands which the state grapples with at the moment. He also said Ezeh embodies every hope for an Imo with a regime of fiscal discipline, accountability, probity and rule of law.
Alagboso further expressed displeasure over Imo’s increasingly deteriorating status in the ease of doing business index. For him, apart from the poor infrastructure which has marred Imo State, investor confidence has never been won by the incumbent administration which obviously is enmeshed in a confusion of agenda and improbable policies.
He however assured that with a man who is conversant with global best practices in administration like Ezeh the Imo story will change for good.
He stated the readiness of his group to support the gubernatorial hopeful to realize his vision of creating opportunities for the teeming youth population of the state through industrialization, insisting that with good governance and a regime fiscal discipline which the stewardship of Ezeh will guarantee, Imo will become a choice destination for investors the world over.
