As the Supreme Court has admitted the appeal by the PDP to review and reverse the erroneous judgment on Imo Governorship Election of 2019, PDP says Emeka Ihedioha remains Imo Governor.
The PDP while staging a peaceful protest, on recently, attributed that the election was clearly won by the PDP.
The party maintained that Emeka Ihedioha clearly won the election in 2019, but expressed shock of how the Supreme Court declared the APC candidate, Hope Uzodinma, winner of the election.
Imo State PDP Acting Chairman, Mr Martins Ejiogu, Secretary to Imo State Government, Barr Uche Onyeaguocha, Commissioner for Health, Vin Udokwu, Prof Jude Njoku, Mr Law Biaduo and Mrs Maria Mbakwe who led the protest, said they have the belief that God would intervene so that the Supreme Court reviews and reverses the judgement in favor of the rightful owner, Emeka Ihedioha who they described as a good leader who fears God with deep love for humanity.
“We came to seek justice in the face of God who gives justice. We will remain firmly in PDP to welcome back defectors because we believe Emeka Ihedioha must get justice at the Supreme Court by the mercy of God”.
The protesters carried placards with inscriptions, chanting and praying to God to restore their victory.
