APC Chieftain extols Uzodinma over solid infrastructure in Imo
By Chigozie Uzosike
A political stalwart of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Chief Romanus Egbuladike popularly known as ‘Sir White’ has extolled the governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma on the solid road infrastructure going on across the state.
The first chairman of APC in Imo State, Egbuladike who said this in Owerri Thursday noted that the governor has broken the records of other past administration especially that he has touched every facet of the economy.
“The road networks in the state has earned the governor ‘The Infrastructure Governor ‘ across the country.
The elder statesman of All Progressive Congress and a delegate to the just concluded APC national convention, Egbuladike has described the party’s convention as the most peaceful and orderly in the history of Nigeria. He said, “Our party has set the machinery and standards for what a convention should be. The party moved from zonal Congreses to the national convention. The three delegates from each local government and all the automatic delegates of Imo State conducted themselves well and made the party proud”. He commended the Imo governor, Hope Uzodinma for his leadership prowess in bringing everyone on board.

On the issue of who the governor hands over to come 2028, he said, “The governor is a man of integrity and core leader who believes in the charter of equity. If Owerri zone wants to be handed over the first citizen of the state, they need to organize themselves and present a candidate that’s sellable and has the capacity to continue from the good works of the governor”. “Our governor is a man of few words, he says what he believes in. The most important thing is who will succeed him. One thing that goes for him is that he knows his people. At the appropriate time he will support whoever that will succeed him. You can agree with me that the governor will ensure that whoever succeds him must continue from where he stops. You can see clearly that the governor is not working like a second term governor. He is working like somebody who wants to contest again. That tells that he has the development of Imo State at heart”.
“It will come to history that during his tenure alot of universities have been operational especially in Oru East LGA. We have Dr. B. U. Nzeribe Awo-Omamma, a polytechnic and the renovation of Awo-Omamma general hospital. You can find other solid projects across the state”.
Egbuladike lauded the new All Progressive Congress chairman, Hon. Austin Onyedebelu for his leadership qualities in carrying everyone along in his leadership. He noted that APC remains the party to beat in the state and Nigeria. He called on everyone to support the party for more provisions of dividend of democracy.
Sir White appreciated the governor for supporting the son of Oru East LGA to emerge as the chairman of APC in the person of Hon. Austin Onyedebelu. “We will continue to make sure that we work together to garner victory for the party in all elective positions. “The people of Oru East remain grateful to the governor for the choice of our son as the party chairman”.
