The INC who decried the ugly manner in which the Cross River Governor Benedict Ayade pilots the affairs of the state called on Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), National University Commission (NUC), Police Service Commission (PSC), National Judicial Council (NJC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to call the state government led by Professor Benedict Ayade to order before things gets out of hands.

The group expressed gross dissatisfaction and concerns why the judge in charge of Agba Jalingo’s case had to travel with the case file.

“In view of the above, we hereby call on the Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) to blacklist Governor Benedict Ayade and the entire Cross River State government and parastatals till Comrade Agba Jalingo who is a fellow journalist is unconditionally released from detention”

“We also call on the National University Commission (NUC) to probe the Professorship of Governor Benedict Ayade because his conducts are colossal embarrassment to the professorship title”

We are also calling on the Police Service Commission (PSC) to set-up a Panel of Enquiry to investigate the activities of AIG Austin Agbonlahor while he was serving as the Commission of Police in Cross River State”, the Igbo National Council stressed.

It added “Finally, we appeal to the National Judicial Council (NJC) and National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to intervene in Comrade Agba Jalingo”s case in other to save the judicial in Cross River State from being hijacked by desperate politicians in the State”.
