Gov. Uzodimma Congratulates New Imo NUJ Chairman, Nwanguma
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma has congratulated Comrade Ifeanyi Nwanguma on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ), Imo State Council.


This was contained in a Statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Declan Emelumba.
In it, the Governor noted that the Election of Comrade Nwanguma on the 19th of November this year would usher in a new phase in the affairs of the Union, and charged him to show that the Journalism Profession in the State is sanitized and ensure that only trained Professionals are encouraged to practice the profesion in Imo.
Chief Emelumba announced that the Governor wished the new Chairman well in his tenure, and charged him to uphold the ethics of the Journalism Profession.
The Governor also charged the new Chairman to uphold discipline in the profesion, as well as show that those who fall victim to quacks are offered Justice, assuring the new NUJ Chairman that the State Government would encourage all Imo Journalists to practice their trade unfettered, in so far as they respect the law.
