COVID-19: Aji Community Jubilates as Evans Edozie, Others Donate Palliatives Worth Millions Of Naira
In a clear display of milk of human kindness and in a bid to ameliorate the sufferings of the people of Aji Community in Oru West Local Government Area of Imo State, notable sons of the area, led by Chief Evans Edozie Onyeakor have doled out palliatives to the people of the area to cushion the effect of the coronavirus pandemic.
The Palliatives which included bags of rice, tomatoes, tubers of yam, several cartoons of Indomie worth millions of naira, were shared out to indigent men and women of Aji community, which took place at Community Primary School, Aji.


Others who joined Engr. Onyeakor in the provision of the palliatives to the people include High Chief Ambassador Cliff Nzerue (Onwa) and Engr. Livy Obidike, founder Lino Laboratories Ltd.
The palliatives are part of the contributions of an ilustrious son of the area, Engr. Onyeakor and other well meaning Citizens, to support the efforts of Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State, to ensure the welfare and safety of the people of the State during the period of coronavirus pandemic.
Engr. Onyeakor, a notable manufacturer, noted for his philanthropic gesture and an emerging political icon in the area, respected for his kind hearted nature, expressed hope that the palliatives will go a long way to ameliorate the sufferings of his people.

Most of the beneficiaries who converged on Community Primary School Aji, expressed gratitude to their worthy sons for remembering them during this period of adversity
“We are grateful to them. For remembering us during this period of Covid 19 which has brought hunger and hardship in many homes in our midst, we are happy, our ilustrious sons deemed it appropriate to provide us with these Palliatives” said one of the beneficiaries, an elderly woman in her 80s
In his remarks, the traditional ruler of Aji Community, HRH B.E Ibenacho Ezeoha (ii) thanked Engr. Onyeakor and others for their kind gesture and prayed God to reward them accordingly.

The Monarch added that the Palliatives will be shared accordingly, stating that there were no political attachment in sharing out the palliatives.
In his remarks, an elder in the community, Chief Sir J.C Akunna, said all the villages that make up Aji Community will benefit from the Palliatives provided by the three ilustrious sons of the community.
