Conspiracy Between Gov. Uzodinma and Sen. Anyanwu to destroy PDP Huge Farce – Group
The Salvage Imo Project group, which concern is to ensure Imo people make the right choice in the Nov. 11, 2023 gubernatorial elections has discribed the allegation that Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP Governorship candidate is working with Gov. Hope Uzodinma to destroy PDP in the state as a huge farce.
The group through its Chairman Mazi Jude Okafor, said it came up with the discovery after an incisive investigation.
It said that one Collins Ughalaa, who claims to be the Special Adviser (SA) to Gov. Uzodimma on Public Communications, wrote a misleading article entitled “Samdaddy will Destroy what is left of the PDP”
It said another one was written by one Clement Ojogwu entitled, “There is a Plot between Gov. Uzodinma and Senator Anyanwu to destroy Imo PDP. ”
The group however said that the two “gentlemen” in their respective articles made futile efforts to convince their readers of the allegations.
According to the Salvage Imo Project, a proper scrutiny of the said articles revealed that the allegations were baseless, lack substance, is speculative and a calculated attempt to smear the reputation of Sen. Anyanwu who is the rave of the moment as far as Imo guber elections is concerned.
Without bordering the good people of Imo State and our readers with the irrevalances in their write ups we shall go straight to state the facts.
It is worthy of note that the All Progressives Congress and the seven conspirators are greatly disturbed that their exit from the PDP is even a blessing to PDP.
It was hitherto unknown that these decampees were working for APC while pretending to be in the PDP.
This was the reason none of them was able to win in their respective booths at the presidential, national and house of assembly elections in the last elections.
It is also quite unfortunate that Mr Ughalaa described PDP’s answer to police invitation as an invasion of the command.
The issue was that the PDP decampees wrote a frivolous petition to the police alleging that PDP accused them of embezzling N1.4 billion (one billion four hundred thousand naira ) meant for the funding of PDP campaigns which is still under investigation.
The impression of the petitioners is that the PDP in Imo State is not united and that any member invited by the police should be abandoned by others, instead the police summons helped to strengthen and reinvigorate the party.
Uncommon solidarity was displayed by members of PDP state working committee and critical stakeholders when they were invited by the police.
So, the allegation that “eyewitnesses confirmed Uzodinma, Samdaddy plot to destroy Imo PDP” sounds more like a fairy tale or tales by moonlight.
It could equally be regarded as what the poet William Shakespeare described as “a tale told by an idiot full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.”
The group said that the so called eyewitnesses made the whole account laughable as it was stated that they are Hon. Bede Ekeh, the immediate past House of Representatives member for Aboh Mbaise/ Ngor Okpala federal constituency and Ray Emeana former state secretary of PDP, now defected to APC.
The antecedents of these men are well known as they are playing the notorious games they are well schooled in.
We can only caution the APC to “beware of these men” just like the soothsayer told Julius Caeser to beware of Brutus.
Salvage Imo Group therefore finds it difficult to believe that Senator Anyanwu can be working to destroy PDP having successfully concluded his “Thank You” visit to the 27 local government areas of Imo State.
Anyanwu has also constituted a formidable campaign council at the national and state levels.
He has equally maintained a well motivated work force at both the PDP Secretariat and his campaign office.
Above all, the decampees positions have been seamlessly filled with committed and trusted party members.
Obviously from all indications, APC is afraid of Samdaddy’s rising profile, reputation and acceptance which make him unstoppable as he matches forward to occupy the Douglas House and thereafter make Imo safe and peaceful again.
