Commissioner for Rural Dev/Empowerment vows on effectiveness

The Commissioner for Rural Development and Empowerment, Imo State, Hon. Ifeanyi Oruh, has vowed to render viable and efficient service to the state to ensure that the 3R agenda of the APC on construction, rehabilitation and recovery is fully realized.
Oruh said when Imo State is fully developed socially, economically and otherwise peace, joy, comfort, conviviality and security will be the order of the day in the state, saying these are dreams of Governor Hope Uzodimma, hence his human oriented policies and programs.
He made the vow on viability and efficiency of service while having audience with media professionals at Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kalu Square Owerri during the 2024 International Workers’ Day Celebration.
Oruh who reflected that he did well when he was Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development, promised that he would render more quality service to strengthen development at the rural areas especially.
“Before now, I served as Special Adviser to the Governor on Rural Development. We did a lot of good work then. Workers in the bureau then were happy with us. And I feel the good work continues”, he stressed.
The Commissioner who lauded the Governor for the ongoing payment of 100% gratuities to retirees, regular payment of salaries to workers and the promotion of workers, said the workers are happy with the Governor for being a democratic leader.
“Imo civil servants are happy being here to observe May Day Celebration because the Governor is doing very well; he pays their salaries as and when do. He has begun the payment of gratuities to retired workers”, Oruh reiterated.
He wished Imo workers well and advised them to continually put in their best, as well as give credence to the policies, programs and activities of government to stabilize the economy for even development.
