Hezekiah University Set For Maiden Convocation …As VC Highlights Landmark Achievements

The management and staff of Hezekiah University Umudi, Nkwerre local government area of Imo state have expressed their readiness to hold a maiden Convocation in 10 years.
The Hezekiah University management disclosed this in a press briefing recently, where they highlighted the key programmes of the upcoming epoch-making event billed for 8th March 2025.
The Management stressed that the convocation is aimed to further herald the place and landmark achievements of the institution over the years.
Addressing pressmen, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Hezekiah University, Prof Anthony Okere expressed happiness to hold the first Convocation of the school, adding that the school prides itself on its motto of “academic excellence with good morals” hence cannot wait to showcase its well breed graduates to the general public.

According to the Acting VC, the epoch-making event will commence with pre-convocation activities on the 5th of March, 2025 with the Alumni induction and Seminar for the Students; followed by a novelty match between the graduates and undergraduates on 6th March alongside other activities build up for the maiden convocation.
Prof Okere noted that “Hezekiah University is one of the best private institutions across the country with 16 operational and functional disciplines and departments”, adding that “all of the departments have full accreditation from the National University Commission, NUC.

He said the Institution pays full attention to staff Welfare, and as well delivers palliative items to both staff and student, as well as community members and beyond to ensure the staff proactively delivers their best to the students as he expressed appreciation to the Promoter of the University, His Grace, the Most Rev Professor Daddy Hezekiah, OON, for his fatherly efforts in providing all the needs of the University.

The Acting VC equally emphasized that “with the level of training and commitment to work and studies in the institution, the students are adjudged to fit into the larger society as good ambassadors.
The Varsity helmsman, however, recalled the successful outings of the students, assuring that the university is poised to deliver on the university’s motto and promises not to relent.
Speaking also, the Director of Administration, Dr. Chika Egbufo who spoke alongside the Director Academic Planning, Dr. Ahamefule Mbah; and Chairman Committee of Deans, Dr. Alex Mmadu said all admissions of the university pass through JAMB, while noting that the school is on record as the only private institution across the country with Lowest fees and allows for two-time fees payment on installments.

They noted that On the 7th March, 2025, proper, there will be a convocation lecture by 11.00am at the University’s Academic complex followed by the Convocation proper on 8th March, 2025.
“The Guest Speaker Professor Aloysius-Micheals Okolie, Vice-Chancellor, Enugu State University of Science and Technology, will speak on “Paradigm Shift, Soliloquy and Fungibility of Stemming the tide of Education Lullaby in Tertiary Education in Nigeria: Opportunities Missed and Paths Not Taken”.
“On the 8th March, 2025, there will be award of First Degree and Conferrement of Honorary Degree amongst other programmes lined up for the day”
“His Excellency, the Imo State Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma is the Special Guest of Honour alongside other invited guests”.
