ADC Condemns Attack On the Country Home of CUPP Spokesperson Ikenga Imo
…says it is unprovoked and barbaric
…Call on the Nigerian Police to arrest and prosecute the perpetrators
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) South East Zone has condemned in it’s totality “the unholy and barbaric attack and killings at the Country Home of the Spokesperson of Coalition of United Political Parties, CUPP – Ikenga Ugochinyere Imo at Akokwa in Ideato North LGA of Imo State on Saturday 14th January, 2023 by yet to be identified gunmen”
The National Vice Chairman of the ADC, South East Zone, Chilos Godsent states this in press release made available to this Newspaper Monday January 16, 2023.
According to him, “The ADC South East Zone therefore Challenge the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) led government of Imo State to rise up to it’s responsibility to properly address the increasing State of Insecurity in Imo State and stop toiling with the life of people in the State”
The release stated that the Insecurity in Imo State has caused heavy decline in business and Economic activities in the State thereby making live very difficult for the residence of the State.

ADC call on the Senator Hope Uzodimma led government of Imo State to drop pride and consult experts on the best way to holistically address the issues of rising Insecurity in Imo State.
“We can not continue to watch while people are being slaughtered like chickens on daily basis in Imo and South East by extension”
The party equally called on the Nigerian Police Force to rebuild their destroyed Divisional stations across the state to arrest the situation so as to restore peace and security in the state.
“Finally, ADC call on the Leadership of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) to immediately rebuild all the Divisional Police Stations that were destroyed by the criminal activities of gunmen as that may help to boost the Security of life and properties in the South East Region”
