The Nigerian Army Day Celebration is an important annual event in the calendar of the Nigerian Army (NA). It is an occasion meant to showcase Nigerian Army roles, capabilities and its modest achievements in the last one year. It also affords the Nigerian Army the opportunity to relate with the larger society, collaborating with them on the maintenance of law and order as well as security of lives and property.

The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘’Enhancing the Nigeria Army Capacity Building Efforts Towards Improved National Security‘’. This theme is deliberately crafted in our individual and collective drive in combating contemporary security challenges. This year’s celebration is memorable as it keys into Nigeria’s Centenary Celebration and the NA’s 150 years of existence (1863-2013). NADCEL 2013 will be a weeklong event starting from 28 June to 6 July 2013.
