2027: Chima Amadi breaks bounds as Prominent Imo Political Actors Join TMO Movement

Thursday, March 6, 2025 marked another historical assembly of defections in Imo state as Prominent Political Actors in the state dumped their various political parties, camps and families for The Mazi Organization (TMO) building to the 2027 Gubernatorial race in the state.

The defectors who were mainly Commissioners, party Chairmen and stakeholders numbering over Two Hundred (200) from the All Progressives Congress (APC), Action Democratic Party, ADP among others stressed that the time is ripe to forgo the old guard and embrace a new order that bears the critical answers to the worries and yearnings of Imolites.

Addressing news men at the press conference in Owerri which also marked the official reception of the defectors to TMO, the Director General of the Organization, Hon. Henry Onwukwe alongside the Spokesperson/ Director, Media and Publicity TMO, Cajethan Duke, JP, described the alignment as a defining milestone for the organization, noting that its growing influence marks an urgent need for a paradigm shift to change the narrative.

They expressed however lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma for their leadership strides which have in the long run birthed national unity and prosperity.

“Before we proceed, may we use this opportunity to express our profound gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the governor of Imo State, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for their unalloyed commitment to a secured and prosperous Nigeria.

“Today marks another significant milestone in the journey of The Mazi (Gburugburu) Organization as we officially welcome prominent political players from various parties in Imo State into our fold. This occasion is not only a signal of a greater days ahead, but a testament to our organization’s growing influence and appeal across party lines.

“We are thrilled to have notable figures like Okenze Engr. Paul Opara, immediate past APC Zonal Chairman of APC, Owerri Zone, Hon. Udo Agoha, former Commissioner for Agriculture and State Coordinator Big Tent, Imo State,  Hon. Titus Anyanwu, Okenze Henry Unegbu, Hon Chinenye Ezurike, immediate past Chairmanship Aspirant in the just concluded Local Government Council election, Ezinihitte, Princess Julieth Anyanwu, Engr Fred Kamalu, Dr. Uzor Mmezi, ADP State State Chairman, Engr. Paul Ejiogu former and the APC ward Chairmen from Ngor Okpala LGA among others, join our ranks.
Their decision to align with The Mazi (Gburugburu) Organization is a clear indication of our shared vision for a better Imo State”, the TMO Leaders revealed.

Speaking further, the Spokesperson of  TMO, Comrade Cajetan Duke expressed the organization’s goodwill for all Imolites, adding that the time has come for a new normal where all Imo citizens will be given a sense of belonging.

“As we gear up for the business ahead, our organization is committed to an uncommon social mobilization and grassroots engagement with Ndi Imo. We believe that the time has come for a new breed of leaders who will prioritize the welfare and development of our dear state. With the influx of these seasoned politicians, we are confident that our organization is poised to mobilize the people to craft the Imo of their dream”

Comrade Duke noted that “The Mazi (Gburugburu) Organization is built on the principles of inclusivity, transparency, and accountability” hence  is “committed to providing a platform for all Imo citizens to participate in the decision-making process and contribute to the development of our state”

The TMO Spokesperson equally noted that the organization is not fighting against anybody but working round the clock to usher in a new direction and a breathe of fresh air in the state as yearned by Imolites.

“Our doors are open to all, regardless of party affiliation or background. As we embark on this new chapter, we urge all Imo citizens to join us in our quest for a better future. Together, we can achieve greatness and make Imo State a model for excellence in Nigeria. We appreciate the support and trust that these prominent politicians have reposed in us and pledge to work tirelessly to justify their confidence”

The defectors roundly pledged their full support and allegiance to the transformational principles of The Mazi Organization (TMO), emphasizing that their voluntary defection was anchored on not just joining a good cause but aligning and contributing their quota for even peace and progress in the state as “Imo should grow and get better in all ramifications”

“We have taken time to assess Mazi Chima Amadi and we found out that he has a human heart and a job so he will not come to shortchange us.

“He has the vision and has the capacity and he is not coming with empty hands and above all has no clique with evil fraternity”, former Imo ADP State Chairman, Dr. Uzor Mmezi stressed.

“Mazi Gburugburu has come to change the narratives of leadership and governance in Imo and we are behind him with our people”, the defectors reiterated.
