Imo Gov-elect Ihedioha Collects Certificate Of Return, Presents It To Catholic Archbisho

The Imo State Governor-elect, Hon. Emeka Ihedioha on Wednesday received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Owerri, the Imo State capital.After receiving the certificate, Ihedioha, with the Deputy Governor-elect, Gerald Irona, went to the Assumpta Catholic Catedral and presented the Certificate of Return to the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri, Most Rev. Anthony V.J Obinna. The Archbishop prayed for the success of the incoming administration of Emeka Ihedioha to be inauguration on May 29, 2019.


Thereafter, the team went to the state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), where he explained why he went to see the Archbishop immediately after collecting the Certificate of Return from INEC.Addressing the huge crowd at the Secretary, Ihedioha said:


“After receiving the Certificate today at INEC, I led the team to Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, Owerri to dedicate our victory to God. Yes, I am a known Anglican, but it is my belief that the Church of God is one. We shall serve Imo people with the fear of God and in all we do, we shall place God first”.
