I am Out To Give Orlu Zone A New Story Of Inclusiveness –Uwaezuoke
By Sochima Ogemdi…
A formidable Senatorial candidate of the National Rescue Movement party (NRM) in the forthcoming 2023 Orlu Senatorial election, Chief CY Stephen Uwaezuoke has assured the people of the area of an all inclusive representation if elected.
Chief Uwaezuoke made the promise while interacting with clergymen in the area, political stakeholders and members of the media recently.
He said what informed his aspiration for the position is to right the wrongs of misrepresentation and maladministration witnessed in the Senatorial district over the years so as to give all and sundry a sense of belonging.
The learned gentleman lamented that the zone is lagging behind compared to even developments in many other oil producing areas of the country hence the need for power to change hands to usher the desired changes.
“There is a primary reason that informed my decision to run for the Senatorial position, not because of structure as I have none as their usual conduit pipe for siphoning public funds but for the fact that Orlu is boiling and burning and I have come to rescue the people from the disaster because we have lost many lives and property especially the youths.

The Senatorial hopeful for Imo West, chief Uwaezuoke who decried the level of underdevelopment in the zone added that the lives of young people lost in recent past was due to accumulated anger over gross neglect of the People’s social and economic welfare where former representatives of Orlu zone take public funds for personal effects.
He stressed that the level of infrastructural decay in the zone is alarming that over decades, there still seem to be zero presence of economic and people oriented projects leading to high level of unemployment and poverty.
“Over the years, we are supposed to have number of Orlu projects, like bricks upon bricks of development to show from the zone’s representation in the Red Chambers but none, not even a foundation to build on is to be found or held onto”
Chief CY Stephen Uwaezuoke emphasized that it is high time the recurring narrative which the masses have blindly seen as a norm and cannot bravely speak up against is changed for posterity sake.
He called on Orlu people to vote for him, so as to walk the talks to end the years of lost glory in the zone.
