Imo: Nwosu, Opiah, Anunobi, 14 Others Makes Commissioner Nominees List, Awaits Screening Nov 23

Imo Governor Hope Uzodimma has unveiled his list of Commissioner Nominees to the state House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary/Media Adviser to the Governor, Oguwike Nwachukwu on Monday, November 22 stating that Governor Uzodimma transmitted the list in a letter sent to the Assembly.

Notable persons who made the list of the Seventeen (17)Commissioner Nominees among others are the former Speaker of Imo House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Goodluck Nana Opiah who had served SA on Oil and Gas to Governor Uzodimma, former Commissioner of Transport, Barr. Rex Anunobi (Sokom), a Public Relations expert, Chief Ford Ozurumba.

The nominees list includes renowned Prof C.O. Nwosu, former SA, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs Rubby Emele, Dr Elias Emedom and three other Professors namely: Prof Duru Emmanuel Joseph Chukwuma, Prof Ifunanya Okorodudu and Prof Kenneth Ameshi.

Other renowned personalities making the list are Dr Prosper Ohayagha Sucess Obinna Chinonso, Mr Keziechi Ogaziechi, Lady Love Ineh, Simon Ebegbulem, Mr Anukwem Okechukwu Chukwunyere, Hon Stanley Obidiegwu, Mrs Ann Dozie, and Hajia Rabi Ibrahim.

According to a special release by the Clerk of the Imo State House of Assembly, Chinelo Emeghara, the Commissioner Nominees will be screened by the Members of the state Assembly on Tuesday 23rd November, 2021 by 10am.

The release added that each of the nominees are expected to go along with twenty eight (28) files containing their Curriculum Vitae, three (3)years tax clearance as well as copies of the certificates.
