2024 Mbano Youths Summit Ends in Grand Style …As NUMO Farms Empowers Participants with Over 10 Million Naira Grants

Youths of Isiala and Ehime Mbano local government areas of Imo state have expressed happiness over the success and impacts of the 2024 “Mbano Youth Summit (MYS)” held recently in Owerri, where over Fifty youths of Mbano indigenes who attended en masse to learn, relearn, and unlearn 21st-century International business best practices got empowerment and Scholarship Grants ranging from One Million Naira; 500 Thousand Naira and Fifty Thousand Naira respectively for winning “Entrepreneurship and Business Startups”, “Food Packaging and Export”, “Creative and Cultural Industries”, “Agriculture and Food Security” categories among others; all amounting to 10 Million Naira.


The Summit powered by the Mbano Big Family (MBF) with the theme “Cracking the Code” centered on the “Dos and Don’ts” in the Real Estate business, among other ventures, as it featured seasoned Industrialists and entrepreneurs who shared their success stories.
The Summit also featured panel discussion sessions to dissect nagging questions around Affiliate Marketing, niche carving, business establishment, business management, and Small and Medium Enterprise funding, with highlights of self-training/development.

Addressing the participants, the Convener, Mr. Magnus Agbkwo said the Mbano Youth Summit as powered by Mbano Big Family is aimed at keeping the youths of the locality from social vices and solidly establishing them to be self-employed, and self-reliant and not depend on crumbs from politicians
Mr. Agbakwo said, “We want to build youths who have a vision; youths who are enlightened, confident, hopeful and serious-minded” to advance their careers, and engagements and as well better their lives.

The Convener, however, extolled the Founder of NUMO Farms and Labour Party candidate in the Imo 2023 Governorship election, Senator Athan Achonu for sponsoring the programme as well as empowering over Fifty (50) eligible participants with over Ten Million Naira business and entrepreneurship Grants, while noting that the empowered youths will go through One-month Mentorship class, after which a three months Monitoring team would be assigned to guide and assess their growth.
Speaking, the Commissioner for Youth Development and Talent Hunt, Dr. Emeka Mandela, advised the youths to embrace and invest in the real estate trend in the State to reap the lucrative dividends thereon, adding that they should also seize the opportunity to develop, convert and monetize their online talking skills by spreading the real estate messages across the board.

He used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Uzodimma for appointing him to lead the Youth and Talent Hunt ministry while charging the youths to explore every Empowerment scheme, including the upcoming Imo Got Talent show, and put in their best in all their engagements to stand out strong.
Representing Senator Athan Achonu while giving out the Youth Empowerment and Scholarship Grant Cheques on behalf of the partnering organization (NUMO Farms), the Manager of NUMO Farms, Mr Chibuike Diala said the 10 Million Naira Grants are aimed at reducing insecurity, social vices in the locality and boosting the productivity of Mbano Youths in areas of skills acquisition and entrepreneurship such as Fashion, Agriculture, Piggery, entertainment among others.

“Senator Athan Achonu himself offered to do this youth empowerment to reduce insecurity in the area because insecurity is largely caused by unemployed people; hence, he advised the beneficiaries to rightly invest the money given to them to ensure the Grant reaches other members of the locality in the next phases.

“They must ensure that they invest it and also ensure that they employ people from the area while making sure their businesses are good so that people can get better life from it”, Diala concluded.
Continuing, the keynote speaker; a Seasoned Industrialist/Marketing Professional, Ambassador Chijioke Elvis-Ceejay urged the participants to ensure they initiate skills that would roundly Crack the Code and make ends meet for them even outside their vocations, adding that ideas rule the world.

Ambassador Chijioke charged the people build business, related with business minded persons in society and implement all teachings from the summit to get it right as the Resource persons are household names in their chosen fields.
Adding his voice, a Real Estate Consultant, Mr. Rich Nwachukwu, stressed the need for youths to place premium values on themselves by approaching the things of life seriously and differently through their actions and inactions to be able to Crack the Code.

He advised the participants to always live true to their words, adding that honesty, trustworthiness, and transparency are the spice to success in the real estate business as people look out for Godly realtors to commit their hard-earned resources to.

He added that Cracking the Code demands high-powered mentorship in the industry with resilience, integrity, digital marketing, and consistency.
Towing same line, Foreign Real Estate Coach, Mrs Regina Bergman, urged the participants to “Always seek Mentorship across boards”, “Develop Strong Communication Skills”, “Build Strong Online Presence”, “Stay Current with Industry Trends”, “Be proactive and take Initiative” as well as “Embrace the Adventure among others numerous steps for successful engagements in the Real estate industry.


Dwelling on the soul of business administrations and management, the panelists at the Summit; a Small Medium Enterprise (SME) Expert, Mr Chamberlin alongside the Chief Executive Officer of Owerri Bole, Mrs Queen Uwakwe urged the participants who are predominantly students to always make good use of their leisure periods, initiative long-lasting, viable business ideas and diligently follow the development processes while branding and professionalizing their hustles.
