Zinedine Zidane eyes Manchester United job, Adrien Rabiot close to January move, Antonio Conte and Luka Modric on Inter’s radar
According to reports, one former Real coach would love to take charge at Old Trafford if Jose Mourinho gets the sack.
Meanwhile, a wantaway PSG star is on the radar of FOUR huge European heavyweights, with a move in January looking likely.
According to talkSPORT’s French journalist Julien Laurens, former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane would love to take the reins as Manchester United head coach if Jose Mourinho is axed.
With Mourinho under rising pressure, Laurens believes his fellow countryman has superb man-management skills ideal for Old Trafford.
Zidane was strongly linked with a move to United earlier this year and now Laurens insists: “He would be tempted – I think he loves the idea.
“For him, the man management is his main quality, his biggest quality.
“He improved a lot at Real Madrid over the two-and-a-half years tactically, and in understanding the game, but where he was so good was managing that dressing room.
“He made everyone, even the smaller players, feel important.”
BLUES EYE WANTAWAY PSG STAR
Chelsea have been given a boost in their pursuit for midfielder Adrien Rabiot as PSG manager Thomas Tuchel confirmed the player could leave as early as January.
Tuchel stated Rabiot could leave Paris at the start of 2019 if he does not sign a contract extension before the transfer window shuts.
Rabiot’s contract expires at the end of the season and reports suggest that Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Barcelona are keen on the high-maintenance Frenchman.
The 23-year-old has turned down three contract extensions with bosses growing concerned that the midfielder will leave on a free transfer next season.
CONTE AND MODRIC WANTED IN SHOCK INTER SWOOP
Antonio Conte and Luka Modric are on new Inter Milan general manager Beppe Marotta’s wishlist after his arrival at the San Siro.
Corriere Dello Sport understand the transfer master has been given a mandate to overhaul the club less than a month after leaving Juventus.
The 61-year-old is credited with turning around Juventus’ fortunes with a number of low-cost signings including Andrea Pirlo and Paul Pogba.
Inter are hoping Moratta can continue that success after fending off interest from a number of sides to secure his services.
SOLID SERIE A DEFENDER ON JOSE’S RADAR
Manchester United have sent scouts to watch Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly — withy the hope of luring him to Old Trafford.
The Red Devils have had a shocking start to the season, and are already 19 points behind rivals Liverpool, conceding as many goals already this season as they did in the entirety of the last campaign.
Boss Jose Mourinho is desperate to land defensive reinforcements next month with a mega January move on the horizon.
During Napoli’s Champions League defeat to Liverpool last week, it’s understood Mourinho sent scouts to watch the 27-year-old centre-back in action.
SIGNING OF PULISIC COULD HELP YOUNG GUN’S EXIT
Chelsea look set to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund — and that could hasten the exit of Blues starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi from Stamford Bridge.
The 18-year-old is yet to make a Premier League appearance this season, and will be out of contract in 2020.
Blues boss Maurizio Sarri looks increasingly likely to cash in on the youngster while he can, with the forward reportedly a transfer target for Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga heavyweight is hoping to have the same success in recruiting young English players as Borussia Dortmund and Hoffenheim did — with Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson respectively.
And Hudson-Odoi looks like the perfect applicant, as long as American sensation Pulisic arrives in West London.
