Workers Day: YPP Woman Leader, Chika Uju Celebrates Workers, Urges Them Not To Relent In Diligent Services

In the spirit of Workers Day celebration the world over, the proactive Woman Leader of the Young Progressive Party, YPP, Imo State, Ambassador Chika Uju has felicitated with workers across the State on the celebration of Workers Day.
Ambassador Uju commended Imo workers for their sacrifices in working diligently for the betterment of the State and Imolites in general, noting that workers are the engineers as well as the engine of development of society.
She urged them to see the occasion as a motivation and a precaution day to improve and continue their diligent service to the government and Imo people.
The woman leader who doubles as a notable journalist in the State also used the opportunity to thank the State government and the Organised Labour as well as other stakeholders for organizing a successful workers’ day celebration in the State.
She however urged them to live up to the expectation of Imo workers by retraining and recruiting staff, timely payment of salaries, and promotion and ensuring holistic welfare packages for all.
The Ambassador prayed for a better working relationship between Imo government and workers in the State going forward to count more blessings during the next workers’ outing.
